Update 8-30-2012 - Talib won the primary in a close election.

This should be an interesting primary.Two incumbents are battling each other in this new district. I wouldn't want to make a bet here since I think it could go either way.

This district covers Downtown, The Riverfront, most of Southwest, and part of Detroit's East Side. It also picks up Ecorse and River Rouge from the 14th District. It's a 85%+ democrat district, so the primary is the real election.
