2004 Results
Andy Dillon – 59.29%

Republican Michigander’s prognosis – Strongly leans Democrat
District covers:
Part of Livonia and Dearborn Heights. All of Redford.
This is a district that’s taken a strong left turn recently. Redford has been competitive for years, but has become solidly democrat, going 57.44% for Kerry. Dearborn Heights has been more democrat traditionally, but has been competitive at times. This part of DH went 56.44% for Kerry however. Livonia is slightly Republican leaning, but this part of Livonia in the district went 50.67% for Kerry.
That said, we almost took this district in 2002. While Dillon is a strong incumbent, this is not a gimme district, especially with the economy not favoring Granholm at the top of the ticket. I’ll have it as strongly leaning democrat, but I think we should take one more shot here.
